The New Year is quickly approaching and if you are like most people, you will set a resolution to lose weight again.
And if you are like most people, you will fail ….. again!
Every year millions of Americans set a resolution to lose weight. They go on a diet and start out with the best intentions, but at some point, they cheat, lose interest or decide it is too hard and give up.
The nature of diets is to restrict something. It may be certain foods or calories or the time of day that you are allowed to eat. There are often forbidden foods or food groups that are taboo. The first time you eat at the wrong time of day, eat the wrong food or eat from the wrong food group, you have failed.
Diets don’t work! The only way to be successful is to adopt a health fitness and nutrition lifestyle. Lifestyle means that you can eat carbs, (yes, your body needs carbs). Lifestyle means that no food is forbidden. Lifestyle means that you can eat at any time of the day.
A healthy fitness and nutrition lifestyle means developing habits and behaviors that support a healthy body.
These habits and behaviors can be learned by anyone. All you need is the desire to change and to take consistent action toward your goals.

Who am I?
I am Jim Gallagher, the co-owner of Strength for Life, a personal training studio in Springfield, PA. Over the past 30 plus years, I have been helping people become their best selves by adopting a regular program of exercise.
At one time or another, I have worked in every segment of the fitness industry and have seen the good and bad. Unfortunately, many fitness centers exist only to line the pockets of their owners with money taken from members who do not show up. That why we developed our own studio, Strength for Life, to make sure that we focus on getting results for our clients.
My mission is to help as many people as possible get in the best shape of their life, so they can be the best version of themselves.
